The Jinnah legend : tentative title, actual title to be decided later: typescript / by Hector Bolitho, 1952-1953.

First draft of the book "Jinnah, creator of Pakistan," with deletions amd corrections clearly marked. Bolitho was contracted to write the biography at the suggestion of Liaquat Ali Khan, who was subsequently assasinated. He was then obliged to submit the draft to the government and the hundreds of enforced amendments and deletions required him to write the book again, from beginning to end. Included is correspondence with Majeed Malik, Chief Information Officer of the government of Pakistan (3 Sept. 1952-23 July 1953). Also included are 2 letters from Sir Francis Mudie, ex Governor of Sind (10 July and 30 Aug., 1953) and 1 letter to Charles Lesley Ames from Bolitho (17 Oct. 1960).
